Political polymath Chris Cillizza welcomes us into his cultural life. It runs the gamut from a honeymoon with Dawson's Creek to The Goldberg Variations.
One of my favorite all times was Ben Harper at State Palace Theater in New Orleans, around 1995ish. I first saw him open for Pearl Jam on one of the 30+ times I've seen them. Fast forward to 17 years ago, the night I met my wife, we were talking music and she mentioned seeing him in Dallas at Club DaDa with 12 people! In a weird way, I sort of knew that night after that conversation she could posibly be the one. Weird......how music can bond us in so many ways.
Also saw him 2-3 years ago on my 45th Bday(actual date!) for my 15th show at Red Rocks! And it was a 50% capacity show bc of COVID. Unreal! A must for any and all who have not been.
Nobody masters the guitar, in all its versions, quite the same way as Ben Harper.
I am obsessed with Friday Night Lights to the point I snuck onto the field they shot the pilot on in Pflugerville and even spent a week in Odessa, Texas, where the book is set.
Why no postings ? Are you on vacation ?
Concerned .

The everybody leaves me scene with Coach Taylor and Saracen just hits hard.
My favorite is Coach and Vince. "I didn't ask you to be better than everyone. I asked you to try to be better. The character is in the trying."
I tear up every time I think of it.
